CHOOSING THE 'RIGHT' CRYSTAL MINERAL

Aloha Crystal Lovers and Lightworkers,

I am often asked by those newly drawn to working with the beautiful entities called 'crystals and minerals'--"How do I know that I am choosing the 'right' stone. Wanting to honor the beauty and wisdom is a natural concern and goal for many who would like to benefit from their potential healing properties.

It is not unusual when beginning to work with stones to develop the habit of using books and written material as guides. As much as they have a place and value, I still feel that giving yourself permission to practice the following in a first step.

INTUITION-Allow yourself to be drawn to the stone that you need. In its own way it will speak to you. Honoring this guideline enables you to choose the stone that is needed to bring balance to dis-ease. Intuition is the most important part of the process.

ATTENTION- Why has this stone chosen you? What makes it different than
other stones? Is it the way it “feels”? Are there special markings that you notice but no one else does? Is it a feeling of connection or knowingness? Once a stone has chosen to work with you it will definitely have your attention! Follow that lead!

INTENTION- What message does your ‘chosen’ stone have for you? What questions have you lately been seeking the answers to? How can you best use that information in creating a plan of action that allows balance to return? Listen with your heart and your stone will guide you. Honoring the answers given will create the most effective healing and most beneficial relationship between you and your new friend.

The ancient cultures all teach that the stones are entities that have finished their work on Earth and returned to be of service. They come without judgment and offer only Love. If you have been called to work with these beautiful beings, the answers to why you have chosen a stone may come long after the mineral or crystal has spoken to you. This information may come through written material, a vision, a dream or simply an overheard conversation.

Pendulum use and other methods of polarity testing are uses by many who emply crystal and minerals in their healing practices and I feel can be a valid 'double check' of what you have discovered by using the above Intuition, Attention and Intention techniques. I will address using the pendulum in another post.
